Fox News hosts’ give Rosie O’Donnell unexpected praise as she hosts Jimmy Kimmel

Fox News co-hosts surprisingly had some nice things to say about Rosie O’Donnell.
The network’s The Five spoke about Rosie O’Donnell on Tuesday, August 18. The panel specifically discussed the 64-year-old comedian’s debut as a guest host on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, August 17. Rosie will continue to host the show in place of Kimmel for the rest of the week.
Rosie donned an oversized, floral-printed pink pantsuit with a pink button-down in the episode. She also took a few swipes at Donald Trump in her opening monologue. The Five’s Harold Ford Jr. asked his co-host Kat Timpf her thoughts on Rosie’s opening monologue and if it was funny.
“I know this is going to be so controversial, probably the most controversial thing that I’ve ever said — people are gonna get mad — I thought she looked good,” Kat replied.
She reiterated that Rosie looked “really good.” As Kat was saying that, someone could be heard saying, “She looks great,” and there were other sounds of agreement.

“Usually when we’ve seen her, she’s over Zoom,” Kat added. “Really close to the camera, hasn’t combed her hair, looks very angry, looks very upset.”
“Here she is wearing pink, her hair looks good, her face looks great. She’s making jokes,” Kat continued.
Kat remarked that Trump clearly upsets Rosie. The reporter stated that she is one of the many people who think Rosie is “too focused” on him and claimed that Rosie has admitted she is, too.

Kat went on to say that this is the first time that she can remember where it seemed like Rosie “was in on the joke herself a little bit.”
“It seemed like she was actually enjoying being alive. I don’t know if that’s taking it too far,” Kat said.
She noted that since Rosie has relocated to Ireland from America, every time she’s been seen, she’s looked “so mad” and “so angry.”
Kat said the Tarzan star is a “talented performer” and “has been for years.” She mentioned Rosie’s feud with Trump has “overtaken her” and that it’s been “quite some time” since Rosie has been seen in “an entertainment element.”

Kat stated that Rosie looked like she was “having fun while guest hosting, and she doesn’t think people have seen that in a while.
Kat said viewers can come for her over her opinion, and it’s “fine”, because she feels Rosie “looks great.” She concluded by saying that Rosie didn’t mention Trump “that much,” considering her track record.
Harold then turned to Dana Perino to share her thoughts, and she agreed with Kat.
“When she was in Ireland, and we kept doing segments about her, I was like, ‘Is she okay? We shouldn’t do this. She’s in distress; she needs help,'” Dana responded.
“Now I look at her and want to know where she got her facelift,” she added.

A female voice that sounded like Kat’s chimed in that she “really wants to know for the future.”
Dana touched her face and said Rosie’s makes her wonder, “Do I need a facelift?”
In May, Rosie disclosed that she had undergone a facelift and shared a before-and-after photo of her transformation on Instagram. She wrote more about the procedure and her journey on Substack.
