Jimmy Kimmel’s wife Molly McNearney brought naked dressing to the 2026 Emmys red carpet as the couple stepped out for a glam date night on September 14. The Emmy-winning writer dazzled in a sheer iridescent gold dress as she posed with the talk show host at the Peacock Theater.
McNearney, who’s an Emmy-winning writer in her own right, followed in the gilded steps of fellow stars like Selena Gomez and Meg Stalter with a golden goddess moment of her own. The mom-of-two—who shares daughter Jane, 12, and son Billy, 9, with Kimmel—showed off her physique in a sleeveless gold bodycon column dress, which was completely encrusted with gold and clear crystals. The floor-skimming number showed off a glimpse of McNearney’s strappy gold heeled sandals.
The TV producer styled her sleek blonde bob in a deep side-parted style, framing a pair of dangling crystal chandelier earrings. Holding a cognac brown envelope clutch in one hand, McNearney dialed up the sparkle with a shimmering array of gold and crystal bracelets and rings. Meanwhile, Kimmel—who posed with his arm around his wife at the star-studded event—looked dapper in a classic black tuxedo, which he paired with a crisp white dress shirt, a black bowtie, and shiny black patent leather dress shoes.
The couple’s latest red carpet date night comes just days after they stepped out together at Peacock Theater for the 2026 Creative Arts Emmy Awards. Kimmel took home an award in the Outstanding Host for a Game Show category for his work on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
McNearney recently opened up about the clandestine start to her relationship with the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host, whom she’s been married to for 13 years. While making a joint appearance with her husband on Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast on August 24, the Murder Mystery actress revealed she was working for Kimmel when things turned romantic. She recounted going over to Kimmel’s house to discover that he’d made all of her favorite foods.
“It made me very excited and very nervous,” McNearney recalled. “I remember thinking, ‘Oh, no. This is a bad idea.’ He was my boss.” Kimmel interjected that he “didn’t have that thought” at that time, to which she clarified, “The person in power usually doesn’t, but I was very nervous about it. I thought it was a terrible idea. I was very skittish. I kept telling him, ‘I think this is a bad idea,’ and he kept saying, ‘It’s not a bad idea,’ and now we’ve been together.”
“The first few months, we were very, very quiet,” McNearney said, revealing the couple did a little bit of “sneaking” around in the early days of their relationship. She explained, “I was very nervous about it changing the work dynamic, and I was in a room of mostly men, and we had a great thing going on… and I didn’t want it to change.”
