Pedro Pascal Asks Stephen Colbert for a Kiss After the Host Locks Lips with Julia Louis-Dreyfus: ‘I Got Jealous’

Stephen Colbert is spreading the love ahead of The Late Show‘s ending.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert host, 62, shared a kiss with not one but two of his guests during the Tuesday, May 12 episode of his CBS talk show, just one night after he locked lips with fellow late-night host Jimmy Fallon.

The kiss fest started earlier in the week, when Colbert welcomed Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, John Oliver and Seth Meyers on his Monday, May 11 show — before the conversation turned to which of them have “made out with guests on camera.”

A smooch between Fallon, 51, and Colbert soon followed, while Colbert rattled off the names of guests he’s kissed on The Late Show.

Then, during Colbert’s latest episode, guest Julia Louis-Dreyfus secured her own spot on that list. So did Pedro Pascal.

As Louis-Dreyfus, 65, sat down next to Colbert in the Ed Sullivan Theater on Tuesday, Colbert revealed she asked his producers to “roll a clip of my own show.” It ended up being the footage of Colbert naming the guests he’s kissed: Sally Field, Helen Mirren, Allison Janney, Andrew Garfield and Jeff Daniels.

Louis-Dreyfus then stared at Colbert before joking, “No one’s watching, it’s just between us.” The two inched a bit closer, referencing each other’s spouses. “Brad [Hall] is larger than I am,” Colbert said, as Louis-Dreyfus added, “Evelyn [McGee-Colbert] is stronger than I am.”

After a peck on the lips and cheers from the audience, the Veep alum encouraged Colbert to “reshoot” the previous night’s episode. “Let’s just cut all of that and start over, shall we?” she joked.

Later in the night, Colbert welcomed The Mandalorian & Grogu star Pascal, 51, who followed in Louis-Dreyfus’s footsteps. When he sat down next to Colbert, he pointed at his lips and raised his eyebrows, prompting yet another kiss for the host.

“I got jealous,” Pascal said.

“No need, any time,” Colbert said. “These lips will soon be free.”

Colbert doesn’t have much more time for onscreen kisses, as the final episode of his Late Show will air on Thursday, May 21.

He announced during the July 17, 2025, episode that the show will come to an end after it was canceled by CBS. The network said in a statement at the time that the move was “purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night.” Before the show’s ending was announced, Colbert slammed CBS’ parent company Paramount for giving President Donald Trump $16 million in a settlement.

Colbert began hosting the show in September 2015 after David Letterman‘s retirement.
