Hoda Kotb Shares an Update on the Mystery Man She Connected With During a Flight

Hoda Kotb shared an update on her love life with two unlikely A-listers: Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman.

During a September 8 interview with the Practical Magic 2 stars, Bullock referenced the mystery man Kotb, 62, mentioned on Today in August.

“I was watching a morning program, oddly, one that you’re on, and a question was posed to you about a flight that you took,” Bullock said. “And then there was a little conversation and a little sparklet. What happened?”

Kotb then briefly told the story about meeting a man on a plane, who she revealed is “some AI guy” who lives between New York and Miami. She also shared what they spoke about during their flight.

“He literally said, ‘I can’t sleep. I saw this image, and it really stuck with me.’ And he showed me a little boy who was overseas in Africa who was poor, and he said, ‘I couldn’t sleep so I started sending money and things there. And I realized, what the hell am I doing? We have one ride around the sun. What am I doing with my life?’”

Kotb continued, “And he decided that he was going to switch gears and work in this charity part of his life.”

“I like him so far,” Bullock said.

After they got off the plane, Kotb and the mystery man exchanged numbers, but she’s still not completely sure where they stand.

“I didn’t know if it was a connection, like, just a bond for a second or was it something? I don’t know. I still don’t know.”

Bullock then looked into the camera and mouthed, “Call her” while she mimicked picking up a phone.

Kidman added, “We’re putting a little of our witchy magic for you. This is great!”

“This is my favorite interview,” Kotb joked.

The broadcaster was previously engaged to financier Joel Schiffman, 68, and the former couple shares two daughters: Haley, 9, and Hope, 7.
