couldn’t see it until the blood was washed away this meant that George could only know about the cut if he was the Killer all of the above was enough to finally arrest the man he was taken into custody on March 15. almost two years after the murder in the State of Florida he could have faced the death penalty for what he did George’s close friends and colleagues in the fire department didn’t share the police’s certainty that he was the killer they still considered him a good person and made every effort to help him these people gave part of their

salary to George’s wife and child and even raised three hundred thousand dollars for bail several of his colleagues even mortgage their homes as a result George was released in late December he lived in his house for another six months and the trial then it began until June 4th 1987.
