In their honeymoon era, newlyweds Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey stepped out for a romantic date night in New York City over the weekend, just 2 months after tying the knot at Madison Square Garden. The couple dined at the Indian restaurant Ambassadors Clubhouse, a hotspot located in the NoMad district, on Sunday night.
As seen in pics obtained by Page Six, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end held his wife close as they walked into the restaurant from their SUV. The pop star dressed to impress for the outing, wearing a metallic brown halter dress by Stella McCartney. She paired the look with a burgundy purse by the same designer, bronze metallic shoes, and the Elizabeth Taylor opal ring and bracelet set, which Kelsey gifted her for Christmas last year.
Kelsey, for his part, donned a white silk striped button-up with brown pants and checkered Vans. While the singer has yet to break her silence on the lavish event, Kelsey gushed over the magical night earlier this month. “We needed it to be a private feel, and MSG went above and beyond to give us that,” he told fans during an episode of his New Heights podcast.
“I can’t thank everybody enough that showed up, but also that helped put the show on, and it was a very magical magical night.” Swift and Kelsey, both 36, have made several public appearances since the big night. Their first outing as husband and wife was at JuJu Smith-Schuster and Laura Crockett’s wedding, just 1 week after their own nuptials.
The couple’s Sunday night date comes just days before the official start of Kelsey’s NFL season. The Kansas City Chiefs will face the Denver Broncos on Monday, September 14th at Arrowhead Stadium.
