“He’s the ultimate competitor!” Patrick Mahomes gives passionate praise to Travis Kelce after Dolphins win

Patrick, congratulations on the win. Three and0 to start the season, but it really felt like you guys had to earn every bit of this one today. What did it feel like for you out there running this offense today?  Yeah, I mean those guys played hard. Uh the Dolphins, all credit to them. They came out here hungry and um we made some mistakes, but at the end of the day, we found a way to get a win and uh we had a lot of stuff to clean up, but uh you’re three and0.

That’s where you want to be at.  Yeah, they say a quarterback’s best friend, it’s a great run game, and Kenneth Walker, another two touchdowns on the day. Just describe the impact he’s had on this offense through three games.  Yeah, I mean the impact even more than that. I mean, obviously the running the ball and then scoring the touchdowns, but the play action game has just opened all the way up.

And so, um, he’s he’s a great leader, a great player, and, uh, we’ll continue to work to get better.  You mentioned the things you want to clean up. What will those focal points be as you get set to face the Raiders next week?  Yeah, I mean, the fourth down, getting stopped on two run plays on short yardage, and then the interception, if I can get the ball in front of them, it’s a big play and it turns into an interception.

And, um, at the end of the day, we got to clean those things up um, as we go throughout the season in order to keep winning.  Thank you, Patrick. Appreciate it.  Yeah, thank you. Appreciate you. is tough to get. Tough to get, man. You took care of business when you needed to.
