“Put the Credit Card Away!” Kylie Kelce FORCES Auntie Taylor Swift to Stop Spoiling the Nieces
trend for high schoolers is to throw it back to kindergarten. Queen Emma, the clip, please has a Bluey backpack. Um, the funny part about this is this clip in particular, is that my niece has a Bluey backpack [laughter] who is currently a senior in high school, shout out to Charlie. Uh, she picked a Bluey backpack.
All three of my nieces who have gone have graduated high Well, my other two nieces who have graduated high school have also done little kid backpacks. Um, I don’t know that my field hockey players do this. I don’t think that they do. But I do think that it’s an adorable trend. I really love the fact that it almost reinforces the fact that they’re still kids.
like they still get to be kids until they graduate high school and they have to go out and sort of do either life with a job or um a an apprenticeship or a trade or they’re going to college or they’re moving out or they’re they’re navigating adult life after high school. So, I love that there is this embracing the idea that they are still kids for one last year.
And also, it’s freaking cute. It’s so cute. It’s so cute. Um, the girls actually I I type B mom I type B type-C mommed this. I type C mom this so hard. Um, Benny got a new backpack cuz last year she technically didn’t get a backpack. Um, we used a backpack that we had. So, we got Benny a backpack and the older girls are using last year’s backpacks cuz they were fine.
Is that cheap of me? Who knows? Is it cheap or lazy? A little of both, honestly. A little of both. They have very cute backpacks, though. Why has mermaid backpack and Ellie has a unicorn backpack and they’re very sweet. I did let them pick out new lunch boxes, so splurge. Um, I I like this. I like this a lot.
I think that this is cute and I think we should keep doing it. So, uh, Queen Emma wants to know if I was a rolly backpack girly. I was not. I was not a rolly packback girly. Um, it’s interesting though. That is such like a clear It’s just such a clear cut off, isn’t it? Like, you know, the people that you went to school with who had a rolly backpack.
And let me tell you, practical ass people. Practical. That’s so practical. Looking back, how heavy my backpack was, that’s practical as hell. And I respect it. I really do. All right, let’s keep it scrolling because apparently people are spending an absurd amount of time and money decorating their dorm rooms now.
This is crazy to me. Watch this clip. [music] No. Immediately, no. Guys, we’re doing yes. Yes, [music] yes, I did have a Transformers comforter, so I was I was not an aesthetic girly. Good news is the only time I lived in a dorm, I was an RA, which means I did not have a roommate and therefore had no one to match. That was good.
I’m trying to think of what I had on my walls. I’m pretty sure I had an an Irish an Ireland flag. I had a rug that was a good rug because I had a single. I actually brought a couch, like a whole couch that had a pull out bed in it, like a futon, but it was like a It was bigger than Do you remember those college futons? They were horrific.
They were bad and also great. I still remember thinking that it was so bougie that I had a mini fridge or that my it wasn’t even me. I don’t even know that I had it that my sister had a mini fridge with a little mini freezer on top. Like it was literally a whole fridge if you had just like zoomed zoomed out. Zoomed out.
Yeah, zoomed out from the fridge. It was like a miniature fridge with a whole little freezer on top. It was really cute. U I thought that was pretty bougie. Did you live at home for the first couple years? Yes. I only lived on So I was at Cababrini for four years. I lived on campus for one year. That one year I was an RA.
I absolutely loved my experience as an RA. It also covered my room and board. So, it meant that I wasn’t necessarily costing myself any more money um living on campus because I live 20 minutes away from Cababri. So, it was easy for me to commute. I also love the comforts of my home. I really do. I I didn’t want to leave.
And that’s obvious because I went to a school that was 20 minutes away from my house. I loved it. I loved it so much. And my parents could come to my games and I loved it. It was great. God, I miss it. RIP Cabarini. RIP. Do you remember your first college drop off with your parents? Do I? I don’t think I do. I don’t think I do cuz I don’t think it was that traumatic cuz they they were 20 minutes down the road.
[laughter] Also, I had the which is one of the amazing things I always say about ha playing a fall sport. I had the amazing opportunity of um having the distraction of field hockey. So, I would go back for preseason and move in. And so, it was fun. It was a quiet campus. We were only there with the field hockey players.
Even when I was commuting, it we would still hang around campus during the days and we would hang out in people’s dorm rooms or apartments. And it was a great time to ease into school and for it to not feel like all of a sudden you were dropped off and then it was like sprint. It felt like a really nice transition.
So I didn’t really I don’t feel like it was ever that stark like this is terrible and I want to cry. And again I was 20 minutes from home. I could take the train and be there in, I’m not exaggerating, probably 12 minutes with a 10-minute walk from the train station. So, you know what they say, nothing goes better with an ice cold, refreshing can of lollipop like a side of more Queen Emma, give the people what they want, please.
Let’s keep it scrolling. This next Tik Tok has the caption, “You can always spot the kid dad dressed.” O. Now I think that our house, because I am a type C mom, this probably is not as clear of a distinction [laughter] [snorts] because I am very much in the camp of if they pick it out, sure. Uh, I think that the the dad dressing the kid and the kid dressing themselves are two very similar looks.
I think those that’s where you see a lot of crossover. Um, Ellie is our child who when she leaves the house, people probably think she dressed herself and I’m okay with that. She looks great and she’s excited about having on two shirts and probably a skirt over her pants. The comforting part about getting the kids dressed is that um I buy the clothes.
I buy the clothes. Uh I wash the clothes and therefore can edit the clothes as they go into the washing machine. aka if there’s a stain that’s not coming out, we’ll try once or twice. But like also sayanara, that’s really the only time I’m going to disagree with a child wearing something is number one if there is a very large stain that you cannot ignore.
Or number two, if there’s a hole. I really pissed Ellie off a couple weeks ago because there were holes in the knee of her pants and I asked her to take them off. That did not end well. So, uh, then we had to have a talk about how we can’t wear clothes with holes in them because we have clothes that don’t have holes in them and we should wear those cuz otherwise our knees will get chilly.
It’s a whole thing. It did It didn’t It didn’t land smoothly. It was not a smooth flight into that landing. Not good. Um, Benny is our most I would say our most opinionated about wearing clothes, specifically clothes that she wants to wear. It’s often a dress. Recently, she was wearing her princess dress and wore it to the dinner table, which you all know didn’t end well.
So, it ended up in the laundry room. And so for 2 days straight, she would walk me down to the laundry room and point to the princess dress and be like, “Hey, you need to fix that so that I can put it back on.” Um, I then proceeded to hide the princess dress cuz I’m not 100% sure how to get the stain out.
I will report back if I can get the stain out of the princess dress, but it is currently hidden so that she couldn’t take me down there and reprimand me about the speed at which I was not washing it, you know. Uh yeah, it’s uh dressing kids is very interesting. Ellie also went through a phase of not wanting to wear pants that had elastic around the ankle.
which is very difficult uh when it is 20° and your class is going to play outside. [sighs] So then we had to go to the store and get the fuzzy leggings, the leggings that are lined with fleece and she told me that she was going to wear them and then promptly got pissed when I told her to put them on for school.
It’s good. Um, it’s I’m having fun. Last week, some real ones enjoyed that Benny was in full frozen costume when she met Michael Boué. That’s a that’s at le that’s probably a two to three days a week occurrence. That is a common happening in our house. Uh, we also have a headband with an Elsa braid on it. game changer because this wig in particular was frustration inducing for Benny.
She was very angry uh when it wouldn’t stay on her head and then got pissed off at me for how long it took me to try and figure out the clip at the base of her head. So headband it is. And she flips it around like it’s her actual hair. um did get mad at me about taking it off to get in the shower though, which is had to snatch it on the way in.
Kylie Kelsey doesn’t count her husband Jason Kelsey as a gym buddy. In People’s exclusive sneak peek clip from Kylie’s appearance on the debut episode of Alona Mar’s new workout focused Wave original digital series Power Hour, the two discuss Kylie’s fitness routine and why it doesn’t involve her retired NFL star husband. God, no.
I don’t hate myself that much. The mother of four, 34, quips when asked by Mar if she works out with Jason, 38. The Philadelphia native says she’s worked out in her garage with Jason before, but it’s proven to be more of a distraction than an advantage, saying she did an RDL Romanian deadlift in front of Jason.
Kylie then asked for his take on her form. After a minute of me doing it, I was like, “Critique my form,” Kylie recalls. And he was like, “I’m going to be honest. I’m really distracted.” And I was like, “You’re useless.” After Mar 30 confirms that Jason was indeed distracted by Kylie’s backside during the move, she teases, “You’ve got to get a third party who’s not going to objectify you.
That’s tough to have somebody objectifying you like that in the gym.” Grinning, Kylie replies, “I actually kind of liked it.” The Olympian notes that she’d like that, too, before asking whether Kylie has a tendency to objectify her husband back. “1,000% I do,” she replies. Because it’s all about equality. Mar jokes.
We’re feminists. Thank you. Yeah, we’re feminists. Kylie agrees. Have you seen his shoulders? Kylie and Jason met on Tinder and married in 2018. They share daughters Wyatt 6, Elliot 5, Bennett 3, and Finn 1. And while she jokes about her frustrations in the gym, Kylie’s made it clear in the past that she expects Jason to help keep the spark alive in their marriage.
During an April episode of her not going to lie podcast, Kylie outlined the needs for long-term couples to always be dating. I actually give my husband s if he walks past me in the kitchen doesn’t like grab my ass. She said at the time, “Flirt with me, Emma. Flirt with you. You better flirt with me.
