“Radio Studio Shockwave!” Taylor Swift Drops Massive Baby Bombshell With Travis Kelce On American Country Countdown

But this is a whole thing. Like talking to you about music that I’m really proud of. So I’m like going to I’m going to  Taylor, don’t tell me this is your last album.  No. What?  No.  I just saw some fans going, “Well, she’s going to get married and then she’s going to have children and then it’s going to be the last album.

”  A shockingly offensive thing to say.  Absolutely. It is not the last album.  why people get married.  No, exactly.  So that they can quit their jobs.  I go  It’s It’s also like music for me is  I think the fans were just panicking.  Oh, I know they love to panic sometimes. But it’s like I I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do and he loves how much I  am fulfilled by making art and making music.

 That’s the coolest thing about Trav is like he’s so He is so passionate about what he does  Yeah.  that me being passionate about what I do it it connects us.  100%.  in time where he’s going to be like, “I’m really upset that you’re still making the music.”  The music thing that I signed up for that I knew you loved.

 I thought you were going to stop doing that.  I love how supportive you are of each other.  Yeah.  It’s so good.  Yeah, and you and and it just is    um the most fun thing in the world to like be able to support each other. And the sort of the polarity of how different our jobs are.  Massively.

 But there’s a lot of similarities, too. I mean we  We both as a living, as a job, as a passion perform for 3 and 1/2 hours in NFL stadiums.  Yeah.  We both do 3 and 1/2 hour shows to entertain people  Yes.  for 3 and 1/2 hours in NFL stadiums. When I’m in those stadiums, it’s a it’s a dressing room.

 But when he’s in those exact same stadiums, it’s a locker room.  Toy Story movie. It had to be surreal.  When I realized that we were going to have the opportunity to write a song for Toy Story,    it really hit me the weight of this. Like how lucky we were to get to sort of take up what Randy Newman has created and and continue that legacy.

 And so, rather than thinking like, “Oh, you know what we’re going to do? We’re going to reinvent this.” I I just thought, “We’re going to take these beautiful, you know, tapestries of of musical art he’s created brushstroke by brushstroke and and we’re going to try to create something that would go in that collection.

” That you could hopefully like hang next to those paintings on the wall if we were talking about paintings. I’m sorry, I go into metaphor a lot. Anyway, um you know, I’m a huge Randy Newman fan, so is Jack. So, Randy tends to go to really different kind of chord progressions and has very different musical sensibilities than I do.

 Right.  And so, we try to channel what you know, what would Randy do? That took us to a very different place musically and from a chord structure perspective. Um the harmonica came in because I really thought that we needed to in this ode to Jessie kind of, you know, pay homage to where she comes from where cuz she’s this cowgirl doll and she comes from this western landscape and I thought that that would be really cool to kind of signify that this is actually Jessie’s song.

 This is from her perspective. This is in honor of her.  12, Taylor Swift, our special guest this weekend on American Country Countdown. We are never ever getting back together. And Taylor, you have written so many massive hits over the years. Do you ever find when you’re sitting there writing songs that there’s a tendency that you tend to have or something that you tend to gravitate towards?  It’s kind of been brought to my attention that I and I agree with this, that I I I love to use detail in my lyricism and that’s true. I’m very proud

of that, but I also think one thing I always make sure to check myself on is does this detail signify something that informs the story or does it tell the listener the mindset that the narrator is in or what place they’re in in their life.    Does it describe the person that is influencing and inspiring the song? Does it Does  it help further the storyline? Does it tell you more about what makes this song important, which is the human emotion behind it? So, detailed just for the sake of saying

 descriptive words is not really my thing. It’s like I love detail if it informs the  actual human emotion that we’re singing about.  Right.  So, I think that might be a lesson  if somebody cared to take a lesson from what I’m doing.  Taylor  With Taylor and Taylor, when it comes to recording new music and hit songs like that one, what would you say is the most important  thing?  I think one thing I’ve learned over the many years of studio sessions and writing sessions and working with people collaboratively is

that your energy and attitude that you bring into the room can affect absolutely everything about the day.  Wow.  So, really trying to be accountable to knowing that enthusiasm for the actual craft that you guys have all shown up to to do it it can make or break the session.  Right.  So, like if you come in and you act like you don’t want to be there, everyone else is going to pick up on that.

 It doesn’t matter if you’re the artist or you’re a writer or you’re a producer or you’re an engineer, like everyone’s going to pick up on you not wanting to be there and it could very well These are very intuitive people, people who like want to make art. It could kind  of make sure that nobody makes anything that day if you’re acting like you had to be dragged in there.

 So,  I’d say like be enthusiastic about being able to be making art.  I wrote this really sad piano ballad called I knew you were trouble.  I want to hear that version.  And I was really excited to bring it in and I played them this really, really sad ballad and I was like, I think  just no drums and we’re And they’re like, what if it’s dubstep?  And what did you say?  I was like  You’re like, oh no.

 I don’t know, guys. Let’s give it a run. I don’t know. Like, you know, I I also like have a lot of I don’t know. I think  imagine them saying that to you though. You sat and played them the song and they’re like  Oh, yeah. Like, what if it’s electric guitar and dubstep? Like, we’re not putting a piano in this.

 Um but but it ended up being the best thing for it and I think that as a collaborator, my favorite people to be in the room with are yes and people. So, why not try it? If they heard it and they thought  dubstep and I came to them specifically because I didn’t want to be making lateral moves creatively, why wouldn’t we go down that path? Like, why wouldn’t we?    And I I really think that enthusiasm in the studio um  it can really make or break what you end up creating.

 Taylor appeared on the show in a more relaxed mood than usual. The atmosphere started off light with the host asking her about music, travel, life in New York,  and how she balances work with personal moments. Then the conversation unexpectedly shifted to the future. The host asked a very simple question.

If one day she decided to start a family, what would Taylor envision that life as? Taylor was silent for a few seconds. In this fictional scenario, she didn’t shy away from the question. Instead,  she smiled and said that she had envisioned a future that was far more ordinary than the life the public sees.

“I think there are things you can’t plan down to the smallest detail,” Taylor said in the story. “You can only hope that when the time is right, you’ll be ready for it.” That answer immediately piqued the host’s curiosity. And the next question was posed, did the image of a family exist in her dreams? Taylor was described as laughing.

She said that since she was young, she had imagined many different versions of the future. At one point, she thought her life would revolve solely around music. At another, she imagined spending more time with family, friends, and very ordinary things. Perhaps the biggest change is that I no longer feel I need to know exactly what the future will be like, she said.

But when the host mentioned Travis Kelce, the atmosphere immediately became special. Travis’ name was no secret to fans. In the fictional story, Taylor spoke of him in a warm and humorous tone, describing him as someone who could turn ordinary moments into memorable ones. She said that Travis had a very different kind of energy than her.

While Taylor might spend hours contemplating a problem, Travis can see things more simply. If Taylor wants to plan ahead, Travis can make her laugh and say everything will be all right. And that difference, according to the story, led her to start thinking differently about what a home means. He made me understand that a family doesn’t have to be perfect, Taylor said.

It just needs to be a place where you feel you can come home. That statement quickly became the host’s most attention-grabbing moment. However, Taylor reportedly immediately clarified that she wasn’t talking about a specific plan. She didn’t give a date. She didn’t talk about pregnancy. She didn’t reveal the number of children.

She was only talking about a future possibility. There are things I want to keep to myself, Taylor said. But I think everyone has the right to dream about their future. For someone who has lived most of their life in the spotlight, that thought holds special significance. Taylor has written extensively about love, family, growing up, loss, and hope.

But in this story, she’s not discussing those themes in the language of a song. She’s speaking as someone reflecting on life. And that’s what makes the imaginary conversation so compelling. The host then asked if she’d ever considered what kind of mother she’d be. Taylor laughed. “Probably I’d be someone who over prepares,” she replied.

The room erupted in laughter. She went on to imagine herself checking everything over and over again, from schedules to the smallest items. But then she admitted that Travis might be the complete opposite. “He’d probably say we’re fine while I’m double-checking the list for the 10th time,” she said. The answer was humorous, but it also created a very relatable family image.

A Taylor who always wants to prepare. A more relaxed Travis. And in between them are the children they could, in a hypothetical future, raise together. The host then asked another question. If she had children, what would be the most important thing Taylor wanted to teach them? This time she didn’t answer immediately.

She said she wanted her children to understand the value of kindness. Not fame. Not achievements. Not what other people think of them. “You can have a lot of things in life,” she said, “but how you treat others is what people remember most.” That was considered one of the most touching moments of the fictional conversation.

Taylor also said she wants her children to have as normal a childhood as possible. Something that seems simple but is very difficult for a global celebrity. She envisions family mornings, unscheduled trips, dinners together, and weekends where everyone simply stays home. “Sometimes, the most ordinary moments are the most special,” she said.

During the conversation, the host asked if Travis wanted children. Taylor quickly laughed and replied that it was a question for Travis. “I think he’ll have to answer that himself.”
