Star-studded suite! Taylor Swift and Tom Cruise team up to cheer on Travis Kelce at Arrowhead
I knew he was Taylor Swift kicked off the new KC Cheese season in a brand new role. She has officially become Travis Kelce’s wife. Naturally, Taylor didn’t miss her husband’s home opener, and she brought her family along for the occasion. Spotted in the VIP suite, Taylor was all smiles alongside the Kelsey family, Kylie, Donna, and Ed.
While Scott Swift was absent, Andrea and Austin Swift traveled to Kansas to cheer Travis on. It was a memorable season opener for fans of the couple. Not only was it the first game since the wedding of the century, but it also marked Travis’s 14th season and potentially the legendary stars final run. Travis Kelsey cut a sharp figure as he arrived for his first NFL regular season game as a married man on Monday.
The NFL star had a life-changing off season, marrying pop sensation Taylor Swift in a starstudded celebration at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3rd before enjoying a whirlwind honeymoon. However, the tight end was back to business on Monday as the Chiefs kickstarted their 2026 season against the Denver Broncos.
and Kelsey looked locked in as he strolled into Arrowhead Stadium for the first game of his 14th and potentially final season in the league. The football player toned down his usual extravagant fashionable flare in an understated mint green knitted polo top and dark brown pants.
He added a touch of style to the look with a pair of sunglasses and a gold watch. His glittering gold wedding band glinted as he made his way down the arrowhead tunnel. Meanwhile, Kelsey enters the season as an elder statesman in the Chief’s locker room. He pushed back retirement yet again this off season, signing a new deal with Kansas City.
However, many fans and analysts have been questioning if this year marks Kelsey’s last in the NFL. Kelsey himself has not stated that this will be his last dance. He’s also not said anything to the contrary either. There have, however, been multiple clues fueling the narrative. The most telling came in the form of a photo shared to Instagram by former NFL star and training associate Chris Carter in July.
The image showed Kelsey and his longtime trainers. The caption that accompanied it said that the tight end was preparing for the last dance alongside Next Stop Canton/HOF. Then there was the emergence of the $5 million new addition to Kelsey and Swift’s property portfolio. It was revealed this month Kelsey has purchased a 131-year-old recently renovated mansion on the Lake Eerie shore near Cleveland, Ohio.
The ultra private millionaire enclave perhaps provides a forever home for the A-list couple. Another sign that Kelsey is preparing to ride off into the sunset with his new bride, bidding farewell to the NFL once and for all. Kelsey opened up on his star-studded wedding earlier this month, sharing behind the scenes details of the lavish bash.
“At this point, we are what, one month out. It’s been so much fun,” he told his brother, Jason, who served as his best man on their New Heights podcast. It was insane. It was a night I’ll never forget. Me and Taylor are so thankful for everybody that showed up from the vows to seeing everyone and how much fun we had that evening and hearing that being relieved through everyone’s stories of that night.
It was just magical, man. I wish it could have lasted longer than that. Once the drinks got served, everyone started moving out. Jason, a Philadelphia Eagles legend and ESPN analyst, joked that the stragglers had to be kicked out of the iconic New York Arena when they tried to keep the drinks flowing and the party going.
Despite Jason’s quip, Travis gushed over MSG for providing the newlyweds with a private setting. The couple invited some of the biggest names in pop culture and sport with the likes of Selena Gomez, Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, Tom Hanks, and a host of Kelsey’s teammates making up the starstudded guest list while Adam Sandler officiated.
But despite the scale of the event, Travis insisted that the 20,000 seat arena provided an intimate setting as he thanked the MSG staff for keeping the details of the occasion under wraps. I want to thank everyone at MSG. We wanted to do it somewhere where we could have an intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions.
He said we needed to have a private feel, and MSG went above and beyond to give us that. I can’t thank everybody enough, not just who showed up, but helped put that show on. It was very cool to see how everyone interacted with no phones. Everyone is on guard. It makes everyone be in the moment and present.
It was cool to see friends of my childhood and of Taylor’s all the way to people we encountered through our careers and became good friends with. We wanted it to be a beautiful ceremony and made sure everyone left there having some fun.
